Safety is our greatest concern with Viper Youth Football. Each coach must be certified in CPR/First Aid and must attend a mandatory coaches clinic before being cleared to coach! We also take great caution in fitting the athletes properly to avoid injuries due to improper fitting of equipment.

Hydration and breaks are also a big part of our safety program. We take plenty of water breaks to make sure your child is properly hydrated in order to avoid heat sickness and dehydration. Also a first aid kit must be present at all practices and games!

With the rise of CTE and concussion awareness we are taking extreme caution to make ALL contact safe for our players! With a new tackling style called "hawk tackling" (utilized by the Seattle Seahawks) we believe there is adequate safety protocols in place to keep your child safe from head injury. Mouthpieces and all padding must be worn at all practices and games as well! Full contact in practices is limited to once a week or less also.
